The retirement of state representative Stan Gustafson created an open seat in District 22. Samantha Fett is running as the Republican candidate to keep the district red and to represent many Warren County residents in the Iowa General Assembly.
“Warren County is a conservative county and we have momentum to win big in the Iowa House District 22 race, but we must remain focused,” said Samantha Fett. Describing what’s at stake in the race, she said, “Leadership matters. It’s important to keep the Republican leadership in the county and in the Iowa House. It’s also key to restore confidence in the election process and having leaders that stand for the Constitution.”
Fett is running against Democrat Rory Taylor, whose website lists “women’s rights” and “healthcare for all” as two of his key issues. Fett’s experience, on the other hand, is that voters continually highlight taxes and education as the major issues they are concerned with. She said her focus is the next generation:
Over and over, I am asked, what is the future of this country, this state, and what’s in store for our children and the next generation. People are concerned that their values are under attack and looking to leadership to help stay in the fight and be there to protect those values. I have said many times, I am a mom that cares deeply about the next generation and I am ready to stand in the gap and be a strong voice for parental rights and our children’s future. It’s what people want and it’s what I plan to do!
With the election just over 40 days away, Samantha Fett emphasizes remaining accessible and active in the campaign:
My plan is to stay engaged in the community as a conservative leader who is accessible and ready to tackle issues the community cares about. I am so humbled by the support and thanked often by those who see me out and about door-knocking in their community. Your support and vote is for a real conservative that will stand on American principles and focus on the strength of our families and the skills of our children! I am ready to Serve, Protect and Defend the People of Warren County and will lead boldly with real experience. Together we can WIN BIG this November!
