There’s been a lot of justified anger over the murder of Charlie Kirk. But now it’s time to turn anger into action. We must steward our outrage and not waste it.
Here are five actions you can take to fight back.

Join the fight to preserve our community by becoming a monthly donor today.
Pursue virtue. One of the remarkable things about Charlie Kirk was that he did the little things well. Not only did he have a big platform but he was also a good Christian, husband, and father. His martyrdom would have had a very different impact if he had not been a virtuous person. Change must start in our personal lives. You can’t “be Charlie” in the public square until you “be Charlie” in your personal life. So submit to God’s grace and pursue virtue.
Raise a family. Charlie’s “alleged” killer was the son of normal, relatively conservative parents. But he was allowed to be catechized by the Internet. Don’t let that happen in your family. Find a good spouse, have kids, and refuse to let them be indoctrinated by hostile education systems. The multi-generational culture war will be won by parents doing their job.

Go to church. This was the advice of Charlie’s widow, Erika. Find a local church that you can be a part of; a good church that stands for truth. You cannot win this fight by ranting on the Internet. You need an actual community. The darkness in our culture is bigger than you and so it will take more than you to overcome it. Join a team and work together.
Tell the truth. To overcome this violence, we must reclaim truth. This is what Charlie Kirk stood for – a willingness to look someone in the eye and respectfully speak the truth regardless of how they reacted. Not everyone is called to do what Charlie did. But you can start with where you’re at. Don’t shy away from speaking the truth in love. Be respectful and kind, but also honest, resolved, and straightforward. We can replant a culture of truth one seed at a time.
Vote. Did you know there’s an election in less than two months? It’s not the kind that will receive national headlines. But it still matters. Honor Charlie Kirk’s legacy by taking the time on November 4 to vote in your local elections.
All change starts small. By taking these simple actions, you can help ensure that Charlie’s legacy will have a lasting impact on our society.
