Many people are excited about the team of rivals that Trump assembled for his second administration. But in order to take office, the Constitution requires that the president’s nominees be confirmed by the U.S. Senate. This process can take time, sometimes slowing the effectiveness of an incoming administration.

Treasury Secretary – Scott Bessent
Interior Secretary – Doug Burgum
Transportation Secretary – Sean Duffy
Defense Secretary – Pete Hegseth
Homeland Security Secretary – Kristi Noem
Central Intelligence Agency Director – John Ratcliffe
Secretary of State – Marco Rubio
Environmental Protection Agency Administrator – Lee Zeldin

Director of National Intelligence – Tulsi Gabbard
