As local governments continue to raise property taxes and the Iowa General Assembly modifies its property tax reform proposals, Warren County residents express frustration that their concerns are not being addressed.
Both Warren County and many municipal governments have proposed yet another property tax increase. Meetings in Indianola, Carlisle, Norwalk, and throughout Warren County have seen protests against the new increases.

With local governments increasingly raising property taxes, many Iowans were hopeful that proposals in the Iowa House and Senate would bring relief. However, recent changes to the legislation seems to indicate that the General Assembly may be siding with local government over taxpayers.
