Both Warren County and many municipal governments have proposed yet another property tax increase. Meetings in Indianola, Carlisle, Norwalk, and throughout Warren County have seen protests against the new increases.

With local governments increasingly raising property taxes, many Iowans were hopeful that proposals in the Iowa House and Senate would bring relief. However, recent changes to the legislation seems to indicate that the General Assembly may be siding with local government over taxpayers. 

However, Warren County residents can still make their voice heard by contacting their local officials and legislators.
