At the time of publishing, the former president had secured 277 electoral votes, more than the 270 necessary to win the presidency. He was also leading the popular vote, with 51%.
The state of Iowa gave Trump her six electoral votes. He swept most of the counties, including Warren County. President Trump won over 56% of the vote in Iowa. Over 679,000 of your fellow Iowans voted to return the former president to the White House.
This will be only the second time in American history that a president has been elected to two non-concecutive terms. It is undoubtedly one of the biggest political comebacks in modern American history.
