A transgender person has been charged with Threat of Terrorism for making a threat to harm children in the Norwalk school district. The Iowa Standard confirmed that the suspect, a 19 year old named Margaret Anderson, but also known as “Max” Anderson, is “transgender”—a female who identifies as a male.
Note: It is the policy of Warren’s Voice to refer to individuals in a way that is consistent with their objective sex.
The Iowa Standard reported that Anderson told her therapists that she had thoughts of taking a gun to Oviatt Elementary School and shooting children. The therapist informed law enforcement, who arrested Anderson.
This comes as 15 students throughout the state have been arrested in relation to making threats of violence against schools. This includes a student in Perry, a community affected by school killings earlier this year. Furthermore, there has been a wave of false reports, including in Norwalk.
These stories continue to raise questions about the safety of Warren County’s children and the deeper cultural issues that have led to this violence committed against and by our young people.
While some of the Left continue to scapegoat firearms, these stories reveal deeper issues. Why are so many young people entertaining and even acting upon thoughts of violence? What issues in our families and communities are driving this?
These are questions that many in mainstream media are not asking.
