Speaker of the Iowa House Pat Grassley (R-New Hartford) announced Representative Brooke Boden (R-Indianola) will serve as the Chair of the Iowa House Local Government Committee for the 2026 Legislative Session.

“I’m eager to get to work in this new role in the Iowa House,” Boden said. “Local and State governments can and must work together to better serve our constituents. I’m looking forward to digging into some of the critical issues that come before this committee.”
Boden is serving in her third term in the Iowa House.
Previously, she served as Chair of the Veterans Affairs and Government Oversight Committees.
