I grew up four blocks away from the iconic Iowa State Fairgrounds. So the state fair has been a part of my life for a very long time. However, I recently moved to Indianola<\/a> and have enjoyed attending the Warren County Fair.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I\u2019ve made a startling discovery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The county fair has everything I like about the state fair, without all the stuff I don\u2019t like!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Warren County Fair has everything you could want in a fair experience. Agricultural exhibitions, fun displays and booths<\/a>, delicious food, exciting shows and contests, and that intangible feeling that comes from experiencing America\u2019s heartland. It also has a deep community feel that can\u2019t be replicated at a large scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you know what it doesn\u2019t have? Insanely large crowds, overpriced parking spots, and long lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The county fair is the state fair but in miniature. And sometimes, miniature is better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I still love the Iowa State Fair and always will. But there\u2019s something unique and special about the experience of the Warren County Fair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
