On Election Day, Republican Samantha Fett was elected <\/a>to represent District 22 in the Iowa House of Representatives. Now looking ahead to her first legislative session, Fett commented, \u201cThere is a lot to do!\u201d We talked to Samantha about her priorities and goals as a state lawmaker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFirst and foremost,\u201d Samantha Fett said, \u201cI am humbled and honored to be chosen as the representative-elect for Iowa House District 22. We will be ready day one to represent the priorities of the district, standing strong on American principles of faith, family, and freedom!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representative-elect Fett mentioned several priorities that she will take with her to the Iowa House. Among those was education reform. Positively, she highlighted \u201cexpanding the supply of creative education\u201d and getting \u201cback to teaching fundamentals.\u201d Negatively, she called for the removal of \u201cgender ideology and DEI.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Samantha Fett also put a high emphasis on protecting and promoting Iowa families. She vowed to \u201cprotect parental rights\u201d and \u201cthe next generation.\u201d She promised to stand for life and \u201csupport policies that support strong families.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The newly elected representative also pledged to \u201ckeep taxes low and continue tax reform.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Iowa is increasingly conservative, Samantha Fett indicated that she would safeguard those gains by protecting \u201cour state and its sovereignty, standing for our freedom and liberty.\u201d For her, this included protecting the Constitution, particularly Second Amendment rights. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

By keeping District 22 red, Samantha Fett contributed to maintenance and expansion of the GOP majority in the Iowa House, leaving many conservatives with high expectations for the upcoming legislative session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
