Today is the last Sunday before <\/a>Election Day. It’s important to vote. But voting isn’t the only action that matters. For many Christians in Warren County, this will be the last time they attend church services before the election on November 5th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The New Testament commends praying for those in government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:1-4 ESV)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Almighty God, to whom we must account for all our powers and privileges: Guide the people of the United States in the election of officials and representatives; that, by faithful administration and wise laws, the rights of all may be protected and our nation be enabled to full your purposes; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Take a moment today, and ask God to do our work in our Union such that life, liberty, and true happiness may be preserved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
