Not necessarily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Everyone knew this would be a tough gubernatorial race of Zach Lahn. Rob Sand is smart and well-funded. Moreover, he\u2019s been positioning himself to run for governor for nearly a decade. Likewise, this election cycle was destined to be a tough year for Republicans generally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-wp-embed is-provider-warren-039-s-voice wp-block-embed-warren-039-s-voice\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"vwndn1cXx2\"><a href=\"https:\/\/warrens-voice.com\/?page_id=360\">Support<\/a><\/blockquote><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; visibility: hidden;\" title=\"\u201cSupport\u201d \u2014 Warren&amp;apos;s Voice\" src=\"https:\/\/warrens-voice.com\/?page_id=360&amp;embed=true#?secret=sDZglMPCXX#?secret=vwndn1cXx2\" data-secret=\"vwndn1cXx2\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But despite those advantages, Sand\u2019s lead is within the margin of error.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It does serve as a warning to Iowa Republicans. Terrace Hill will not be easily won. It must be earned. More must be done to expose Sand\u2019s actual policies, which consistently lean left, rather than his populist campaign image.
