The Satanic Temple is an anti-religion organization that uses satanic imagery to mock Christianity. In an effort to push religious expression out of public spaces, the organization has attempted to hold an \u201call-ages\u201d event at our capitol building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year, the effort was stopped by Gov. Kim Reynolds and then-director of the Department of Administrative Services Adam Steen. But this year, the Satanic Temple tried (again) to host an event at the capitol. And (again) Iowa officials have rejected their request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cToday the Department of Administrative Services (DAS) has denied an event request from the Satanic Temple based on the grounds that the event was also denied last year,\u201d said <\/a>department spokesperson Tami Wiencek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adam Steen, now a candidate for Iowa governor, held a press conference at the capitol, praising the decision. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
