A common claim from many who are decrying violent political rhetoric is that \u201cit is coming from both sides.\u201d You should consider the following information before concluding that it is \u201ccoming from both sides.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a YouGov poll, 77% of Republicans think it is \u201calways unacceptable\u201d for a person to be happy about the death of a public figure they oppose. Only 38% of Democrats feel the same way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The National Contagion Research Institute at Rutgers University found that 48% of left-of-center voters stated \u201cit would be at least somewhat justified to murder\u201d Elon Musk [NCRI later corrected the number to 50%]. That number rose to 55% for murdering Donald Trump [NCRI later corrected the number to 56%].<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a poll, 55% of Democrats\/Lean Democrats said that America would have been better off if Trump had been assassinated in Florida in September 2024; in contrast, GOP\/Lean GOP was 8%.  46% of Democrats\/Lean Democrats were not sure if America would have been better off; in contrast, GOP\/Lean GOP was 9%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Democrat elected officials have largely provided the violent political rhetoric that has added to the atmosphere creating the above poll results.  Below are just a few of the examples of the violent political rhetoric coming from Democrat leaders:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

President Joe Biden:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Called President Trump’s supporters “garbage.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Said he’d like to “smack” Republicans “in the ass.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Told donors that \u201cit\u2019s time to put Trump in a bullseye.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Said he wanted to \u201cbeat the hell out of\u201d President Trump and \u201csmack him in the mouth.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fantasized to a crowd about Trump being delivered a \u201ccoup de grace\u201d or death blow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Said \u201cDonald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic. \u2026 there is no question that the Republican Party today is dominated, driven, and intimidated by Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans, and that is a threat to this country.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vice President Kamala Harris:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDonald Trump is a threat to our democracy and fundamental freedoms.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2026what\u2019s at stake this election and the clear threat the former president represents to our democracy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asked about being stuck in an elevator with President Trump, Mike Pence, or Jeff Sessions, responded \u201cdoes one of us have to come out alive?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) repeatedly talked and laughed about \u201cpunching\u201d President Trump.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) said that President Trump must be \u201celiminated\u201d to protect democracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rep. Stacey Plaskett (D-VI) said Trump \u201cneeds to be shot.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A month after President Trump was shot in an attempted assassination attack, Nancy Pelosi called President Trump a \u201cthreat to democracy of a kind we have not seen.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) said \u201cI will go and take out Trump tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

State Sen. Maria Chapelle-Nadal (D-MO) posted on Facebook \u201cI hope Trump is assassinated!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

State Rep. Scott Hamann (D-ME) suggested he would assassinate the president if he came within ten feet of him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-NY): \u201cDonald Trump cannot be president again. He\u2019s an existential threat to democracy \u2026 Republicans just flock in one line. That\u2019s something that endangers democracy. That\u2019s what happened in the 1930s. The Germans just walked in line with Hitler and Stalin.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rep. Vicente Gonzalez (D-TX) compared Hispanic Trump supporters to \u201cJews for Hitler.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Former Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) said that Trump is \u201cmore dangerous\u201d than Hitler and Mussolini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
